Official Campaign Statement

We are disappointed but not surprised by the latest false attacks from Chris Wooten. Following Katrina Shealy’s multiple libelous posts, this morning incumbent Chris Wooten took to public radio and has falsely claimed that I donated to Rep. RJ May’s campaign after he was under investigation.

This claim is 100% false.

Chris Wooten and Katrina Shealy should immediately provide any evidence supporting their claim. If they cannot produce such proof, they must publicly retract these statements.

Continuing to spread provably false accusations about a political opponent crosses the line into defamation. I expect better from those who boast in their age and alleged “maturity.”

We will not be distracted by desperate, baseless attacks. My campaign remains focused on facts, verified voting records of the incumbent, and the issues that matter to the people of our district.

Voters deserve the truth, not manufactured scandals and high school bully tactics.
